Our story
Before there was a company there were two people getting good at two things. One had become one of the best locksmith technicians in the area, the kind who as a kid took everything apart to see how it worked and then put it back together. The other was finishing a degree in marketing management. In 2018 they put the two together and started Florida Locksmith Pros from scratch.
For the first four months they were the only employees: one scheduled every client and answered every call, the other did every job. Twenty-four-hour service with two people means late nights, long drives and weekends that are not weekends. Within a year the company had a reputation in South Florida for showing up, fixing it and charging what it said it would.
How we hire
We do not dispatch strangers from a directory. Every technician on a Florida Locksmith Pros van was vetted and trained by the locksmith who founded the company, and works under our name, in our marked vans, with our ID. That is why the price on the phone is the price at the door: the person quoting and the person working answer to the same family.
Why the price goes on paper
Locksmithing has a reputation problem, and it is earned: quotes that double at the door, drills where a pick would do, vans with no name on them. Our answer since day one has been a written work order with the price and your signature before any work starts, and a technician who explains what they are doing while they do it. It costs us a few sales. It is the reason customers call back and send their neighbors.
Where we are
South Florida is home: Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach since 2018. The Gulf Coast crew covers Naples, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Port Charlotte and Tampa Bay; the Central Florida crew covers greater Orlando. Our home office is open to anyone who needs a key copied or wants to talk through their doors; one day it will be a storefront. For now the vans are the store, and they come to you.
Hablamos español. About half of our calls are in Spanish and every dispatcher and most technicians speak it.
